Binding

Binding is a very important part of the finished quilt, not only does it cover the raw edges, it will also be the most frequently handled part of your quilt so it needs to be durable as well as complimentary.

I can machine bind your quilt so it’s ready for immediate use, or attach the binding to the front so you can hand stitch it down on the back.

You can make the binding if you wish, by joining 2.5″ strips with a bias seam until there is enough to go around the outside perimeter of the quilt, with an additional .5m to allow for mitred corners and joining, then press the binding in half along the length, before winding onto a piece of card.

Or just send me your binding fabric with the quilt and I’ll do the rest!
